About
In 1995 Shirley McGinn started working for Lola Chapin who owned Square One in Broken Bow, NE. Many people would ask if the store sold children’s clothing and eventually Shirley decided to open a children’s section within Square One.
In March of 2000 Kids Kloset was born and was very successful. By 2005 it was obvious that Kids Kloset had outgrown the space available in Square One and when a building on the north side of the square became available, Shirley jumped at the chance to forge out on her own. So in 2005 Kids Kloset moved to the new space and grew to include juniors and eventually adults. As the store expanded it was obvious that a name change was in order so “ waaalaaa” The Kloset became the new name.In the spring of 2006 we added a junior department in the lower level of Kids Kloset and called it “Etc” 4 Jrs. A few months later the opportunity presented itself to add a missy department and at that time we realized that we should become “The Kloset”.
